CNN, ESPN, WISCONSIN PUBLIC TELEVISION & OUR OLDEST/FIRST VIDEO FOR OUR SONG AWAY GAME We hit the airwaves and the ice with CNN Wisconsin Public Television with an informative piece on making the ice, The Zamboni machine, The Zamboni driver (The Ice Man). Soundtrack supplied by The Zambonis (Breakaway and our recording of the Martin Zellar classic "I Wanna Drive The Zamboni") ESPN used to air hockey. They also had a great show called COOL SHOTS. 1995 video for our song "Away Game". Some locations used in this clip. Grand Central Station, Metro North Train, our local rink here in Bpt CT The Wonderland Of Ice and lastly, our first gig at Madison Square Garden warming up the MONSTER TRUCK RALLY. The fumes made us play our songs slower but, it was awesome. LETS HAVE A MONSTER JAM! OCTOBER Fresh off rocking out the NHL FACE-OFF SEASON OPENING PARTY ON THE STREETS OF NYC, the NHL has chosen The Zambonis for NHL.com's Fantasy Faceoff Powered by Yahoo! We are one of the celebrity teams on the program! It airs Wednesdays at 7pm EST on The NHL Network and is hosted By Rob Simpson. Other celebrity teams besides we Zambonis are former NHL player/coach Pat Lafontaine, country singer Dirks Bently, Eddie Cahill who played Jim Craig in Miracle, actor Dave Annable and Rob Simpson. More celebs/teams are coming soon. As always, we Zambonis are extremely psyched to be involved with The NHL. Writing over 150 songs is easy but, how do we out coach Pat Lafontaine. Stay tuned. THE ZAMBONIS ROCKED LIVE IN THE STREETS OF NYC! POST GIG REPORT: We Zambonis were so honored that The NHL ASKED US TO ROCK OUT THE NHL Face-Off 2008 Fan Festival to celebrate start of 2008-09 season. In addition to rocking 3 sets of hockey rock throughout the day, Dave Zamboni co-hosted the event with EJ Rhadek and Eddie Olczyk. Dave did some great interviews with NHL legends Dave "Hammer" Schultz, Terry O'Reilly, Ken Daneyko, and Bob Kelly. The band also had a blast doing an interview with EJ and Eddie on XM which also airs on the NHL NETWORK (TV) We also taped a small bit with Paul Teutul Sr and Mike jr from Orange City Choppers and Rod Gilbert. They presented the NHL with a very cool Original 6 motorcycle. That show should air in December. We get to play in our hometown and get some fine pizza AND get to play with one of our fave bands THE BIG FAT COMBO!!! Its gonna be a sweet night. "We're already debating which of our 350 hockey jerseys we'll don onstage," writes drummer Mato Zamboni (who's got a Whalers-patterned kit). "One cool perk has been receiving some vintage throwback tees, including an elusive Hartford Whalers tee (that's me). I don't know the reason official Whalers throwback gear has been impossible to find, but this gives fans at least a little hope." Here's the link. Hockey Mom About four years ago, we wrote a song called, believe it or not, "Hockey Mom." It's about the love, commitment, dedication and insanity dedicated to devoted hockey moms everywhere. For some reason, the song has been getting quite a bit of attention as of late. The Minnesota Post as well as The Denver Post wrote it up. Sunday, October 5th, we were featured in Newsday...

SEPTEMBER Minnesota is a great hockey town so how fitting is it that the Minnesota Post wrote a great article on hockey moms that featured not only we Zambonis but a great site called www.askhockeymom.com. "There's even a song, "Hockey Mom," by a Connecticut-based group called The Zambonis, that you can get at iTunes. It's got a good beat and you can punch to it." "When everybody is fast asleep, she's up packing up a lunch for me ... She'll drive right through, she's my hockey mom ... Sunday, May 4 - Zambonis join the Fight against Cancer at Skatefest 2008 in Baltimore, Maryland We are so happy to be a part of the HUGE battle against cancer. May 4th in Baltimore, MD. We will playing live at SKATEFEST 2008. The local community has teamed up with the NHL and its foundation, Hockey Fights Cancer, to host a one-day fun filled extravaganza to raise money for Cancer. In addition to us playing live, Washington Capitals & Philadelphia Flyers Alumni, Celebrity guest from The Food Network and more live performers, their will be activities such as a Skate-a-thon for two hours, skills competition & broom ball on the ice, rides, carnival games, vendors, food and much more! Since its inception in 1897, the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival has been a unique and remarkable celebration, not only for the enthusiasm of the village residents, but also for the structure that has come to symbolize the carnival, the Ice Palace.
