Postgame Report: This might be our favorite show ever... We played with Atom & His Package and The Moldy Peaches! The peaches even pulled out the only hockey song they knew (from a side project I think), and it was awesome! It really felt like a play-off atmosphere. Please go see Atom or The Moldy Peaches whenever you get the chance. Their energy will EASILY make up for their minimal hockey content. See a Pic! December 7 - Rex's in West Chester, PA. November - Tarquin suffered a grade 3 separation of the shoulder (see pictures!) so this is our month on the IR. Let's all collectively guess how he did it... No kidding... Driving to the net! I guess you have to take the good with the bad. October 19 - The Zambonis at Colgate University! We're playing shortly after the closing buzzer of the game that night. Come down to Cecelie's (in the basement of bunche house). Four bands including: The Modey Lemon and Grand Buffet. Zambonis go on around 11pm (or whenever the game ends!). October 13 - CMJ at last! The Zambonis are playing Brownies for CMJ! It's an afternoon show with BBQ! Be sure to come early. The Philistines Jr. are playing as well, and there is likely going to be pick-up street hockey before and AFTER the show, across the street in Tompkins Square Park! Here's the line up: - The Caulfield Sisters @ 1pm - The Philistines Jr @ 2pm - The Zambonis @ 3pm - Les Sans Culottes @ 4pm October 12 - The Zambonis are playing for the new Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL! A new team and an amazing new arena in Bridgeport, CT. This is a true home game for us. We play from 6:15pm to 7:45pm. Puck drops at 8pm. October 4 - The Zambonis are playing Opening Day for The Boston Bruins, at the Fleet Center! Festivities start early in the parking lot. The Zambonis are playing sets from 4:30pm to 5:15pm and from 6:00pm to 6:45pm. Then it's gametime! September 30 - The Zambonis are playing at the 2001 edition of Denis Leary's Celebrity Hat Trick at the Worcester Centrum. Tickets for the hockey game are available at Worcester's Centrum Centre Box Office or through www.ticketmaster.com. The band is playing at "Halftime" of the star studded charity game featuring the follow line-ups. Bobby Orr and Derek Sanderson will coach the Bruins Alumni including John Bucyk, Phil Esposito, Ken Hodge, Ken Linseman, Don Marcotte, John McKenzie, Rick Middleton, Cam Neely, Terry O'Reilly, and Bill Ranford. Elizabeth Hurley will coach the Hollywood All-Star team, featuring Denis Leary, Ron Duguay, Bobby Farrelly, Michael J. Fox, Senator John Kerry, Gary Nylund, Brian Propp, John Saunders, Tyler Stewart, and Kiefer Sutherland. September 15 - This show was postponed for obvious reasons. The Philistines Jr. hit the stage at 9:30, then Drums & Tuba at 10:30. It promises to be a great night of interesting music. August - Well, The Offseason has never been so "Off" for The Zambonis. It's been more than two weeks since our last game, and two months since our last show! Can't wait for the weather to cool. Just hoping an Olympic Training Camp invite MIGHT still be coming in the mail... Fear not, The Zambonis will be in playoff shape come pre-season. Be ready! May 19 - (SEE PICS! well... one.) Live at Brownies. Pull yourself away from the TV and come on down (TV is the only place New Yorkers can watch NHL Hockey come May (NYC that is - no offense to you Sabres' fans)). Don't worry, that game is going into overtime anyway. It'll probably still be on when you get back. As always, hockey attire is encouraged. We're playing with the wonderful Les Sans Cullottes and Irreversible Slacks. The Zambonis are on at 11pm! May 3 - (SEE PICS!) The Zambonis Live at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. You read it right. It is a celebration for the latest graduating class from the Ice Hockey In Harlem program. A great organization, and a great venue... If we can work out all the details you may even see a "Zambonis, Live at The Apollo" record sometime soon... This IS open to the public. Call 212 722 0208 and ask for Jack Abrahmson. March 9 - Live at Higher Ground, Winooski, VT. Burlington/Montreal listeners tune into 99 THE BUZZ for a live performance/interview in the late afternoon. We'll be playing with Roketman at The BUZZ Club (it is the radio station's club in Montreal). January - The long awaited Boston Bruins' special "To Bleed Black and Gold" debuts Sunday January 7th on NESN! This is a must see for any hockey fan AND features a title track by The Zambonis! There is a full length video for the song which will air during the 1 hour long special! Also, "To Bleed Black and Gold" will be available on a limited edition cd from this site.
