 What's New / Gigs in 2009 JUNE Zambonis hit the airwaves with Flyers/NHL legends! We Zambonis are very excited to be the guest on Hockey Talk With Bubba (Bob Wilkie) and The Hammer (Dave Schultz) on June 2nd. It hits the air live and then will be streaming for eternity so basically, you can't miss it. The show itself is not your average sports show. Like our band, they talk hockey but, also life, struggles, passion and more. In brief, Interviewers are: Dave Schultz...hockey legend that carved a name for himself in the 70s as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers a/k/a Broad Street Bullies. Won 2 Stanley Cups! Still holds the record for penalty minutes with 4135 Penalty Minutes. Bob Wilkie... Played 14 seasons of professional hockey all over the world. Drafted 41st overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 1987. He is an author, international speaker, and a self image expert. Bob is also a survivor of the Swift Current bus accident and teaches a mentorship program for young aspiring athletes. Former guest have been The Hanson Brothers, Barry Melrose and now The Zambonis. Check it out. About 1 week ago, the nice folks at Smash Mouth Hockey asked us if we would write them a song, we wrote and recorded the song in one night while eating a spicy sausage and hot red pepper pizza pie. Ok, we had a few beers too. Sponsored by Main State Ventures. 03-21-2009 3pm at Herb Brooks Olympic Center Way Up State, Lake Placid, New York 12946 Cost: $10 Zambonis live in Lake Placid, NY March 21st, 2009 We will be playing live outside and in the historic 1980 Herb Brooks Olympic Center for the 26th Annual NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championships. The band will be playing a pre-game concert in front of the arena in the freezing cold with some awesome heaters blowing on them. They will then move inside the toasty/historical ice hockey arena and will be performing throughout all the games. This is where "The Miracle" happened in 1980. .......USA USA USA 03-11-2009 The fine Goons / tasteful gents at Smashmouth Hockey have posted up an interview with we Zambonis on their highly popular site. We like these guys so much we have reached an agreement that The Zambonis will be writing them a theme song for their site. That agreement was reached on a Monday, we wrote and recorded the song that night and it should be in use somewhere on their site in the next week or so. We are so proud to be a part of one of our favorite performers/pals tribute cd! Atom Gorin had a band called Atom and His Package that
rocked the world for about 10 years. He then was diagnosed with Diabetes which was part of the reason he called it quits on his career
in rock and roll. We toured a couple times with Atom. He is a class act dude and a great friend to this day. The song is a classic called
"Goalie". It was actually recorded here in Bridgeport at our Tarquin Studios with not only ALL ZAMBONIS past and present but also Atom's
kids and all Zambonis kids. It was a BIG TIME family affair. Atom and we Zambonis are really happy with the way the song came out. We hope you are too. $4 of each cd sold goes to the American Diabetes Fund.

They are currently working on their debut full length album slated for a summer release date. Nothing helps to build the hype like being named an "Undiscovered Band Worth a Listen" by SPIN and more press press press! Check it out! The students asked us to be part of a LIVE concert in the studio. The catch is they will be learning how to record a live show. Hope they do it well. Sadly, if they fail at the recording process, we will sound like *@=. We hope they are studying the world of audio and microphone placement right now. We are very psyched to rock out the experiment!
